Student Spotlight on Tigran Nahabedian

Tigran is a 10 year old, 2nd degree Black Belt at our Academy. With a strong sense of community and passion for helping others, Tigran exemplifies the TaeKwonDo spirit in all he does.

Tigran is now a volunteer with the National Park Service and is the first student Buddy Bison Ambassador and blogger for the National Park Trust.

He has done interviews with NBC, CBS and Capital News as well as the Ventura Star. You can find some of his blog on the Channel Islands National Park Facebook.

Recently, Tigran was part of the Find Your Park campaign in Los Angeles and in Washington DC, where he was the National Park Service's representative for Let's Move Outside at the White House Garden planting with First Lady Michelle Obama.

Tigran has spoken at Santa Monica Mountains Science Fest and worked as a volunteer on Kid's to Park Day at Channel Islands National Park. He is scheduled to speak at the Rotary Club of Ojai general meeting, where he will undoubtedly spread his enthusiasm for fitness and the great outdoors.

Tigran is now actively pursuing his challenge to try to raise money for under-served children to go to the National Parks.
