Meet Grayson Justus

Our Student Spotlight is on Grayson Justus, an eleven year old 2nd Degree Level 3 Black Belt who attends 5th grade at Mira Monte Elementary in Ojai, California. 

Grayson began taking TaeKwonDo when he was just 6 years old after his mother suggested he try it. Grayson was hooked and joined the Academy as a White Belt on the road to earning his Black Belt.

In addition to his mom and dad, Princess and Josh, Grayson has two older brothers, Jackson and Hudson, and a sister named Layla. His family rescued a German Shepard Malinois mix named Chloe.

If Grayson could fly anywhere right now, he would want to visit the Philippines where his mother was born.

If Grayson could spend time with anyone from the past, who would it be? It would be his Aunt Krista, taking her to lunch with Blake Shelton.

If Grayson lived in a jungle, what animal would he be and why? He would be a parrot because they are smart and interesting.

One thing in the world that Grayson would change if he could? He would curb inflation.

Grayson says his role model is his father, Josh, because "he always makes friends, he's smart and he can rebuild and fix cars."

Grayson's advice to anyone starting their martial arts journey towards the goal of earning a Black Belt - don't give up and don't be lazy.
